Some French kind of bacon called « Lardons », mushrooms, onions and carrots are added. After a few hours simmering with all these ingredients, the rooster will be ready to be eaten. The Fire Pot
The fire pot is a traditional dish from the 13th century. The meat is boiled for a long time with vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions and pears) and aromatic herbs, to make a broth.
