Paris Champagne Tour: Discovering Local Champagne Producers
Paris Champagne tour
When thinking of Champagne, one usually thinks of bubbles, parties, and overall, sweet euphoria… The discovery of the Champagne region and its wine patrimony can take several paths. Of course, all of the great houses of Champagne, such as Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Dom Pérignon, Taittinger or Mumm, offer exclusive visits of their cellars, which often include the tasting of famous vintages.

The route that leads from Reims to Epernay is filled with numerous estates of local producers of champagne that all offer exciting tours!

Among them, the Daniel Dumont estate invites you to an authentic discovery of the Champagne patrimony. The estate, which stretches over 10 hectares and produces 90,000 bottles a year, is a family business that has been sequentially handed down from father to son since 1870. The visit (offered in French or English, only in small groups and with reservation) is always guided by one of the growers from the family, so he knows perfectly what he is talking about and can answer all your questions!

Not to forget of course the final tasting that allows you to discover the different grapes used on the estate. And as is often the case with local champagne producers, the production is only sold directly at the estate or on their own website, which means you will not find their bottles outside the winery. So make sure to grab a bottle on your way out!
