How to plan group trips to Paris?
Here is our process recommendation & tips for planning group trips to Paris
Step 1 – Define your group – Key questions
How many people?
How old are they? Are there children? How old are they?
Will the group members walk all day? Or do they need a light program? Private / public transport?
Are there some food specific requests?
Step 2 – Define the accommodation you will need
Will you need individual rooms? Or big rooms with several beds in it?
For small groups, is an apartment rental an option?
What category of accommodation are you thinking of? 3-star, 4-star or 5-star-hotels?
The category and location of the hotel you pick will affect the total cost of your trip package. Consider the accommodation costs to be on average 50% of the total package cost.
Step 3 – Plan your program roughly
It is better to have some rough ideas of what you want to do.
Would you like to see the main attractions? Add a group activity?
Are you only planning activities and visits for the day or evening / night as well?
Step 4 – Write down you best-case program
You should take a blank paper and write your program on a day by day basis. It will help you figure out if everything can fit. You will need to consider the time you need for each visit as well as the travel time from a place to another.
Step 5 – book your tickets ahead
The last thing you want is your participants waiting for hours in queues. To avoid this, you will need to book all your tickets, guided-tours, transports and visits ahead. For large groups (more than 10 people), you will also need to book your restaurants for lunch and dinner.
