Victor Hugo’s house and Place des Vosges
France’s literary genius lived in Place des Vosges between 1832 and 1848. It was while living there that he wrote Les Misérables. You will admire well decorated rooms, recreating the different phases of Hugo’s life.

Located in the Tuileries gardens, the masterpiece of this museum, Monet’s Water Lilies alone justifies the visit. Beyond this, you will see paintings from Cézanne, Renoir, Matisse and Picasso.
The museum exhibits the world’s largest collection of Picasso’s work. Some 400 paintings, sculptures and ceramics are spread across four levels. The museum just reopened in 2014.
